RE/MAX was started in 1973 by two real estate agents from Denver, Colorado – Dave and Gail Liniger. They wanted to try a new real estate concept that they developed. Creating Re/MAX – an acronym for “real estate maximums” – they introduced a system that encourages quality real estate salespeople to realize and develop their potential.

Only four years after this innovative real estate concept was developed, the RE/MAX team was already comprised of 500 sales associates. In an industry rife with mergers and acquisitions, RE/MAX is the only major real estate network still owned and directed by its original founders. Today, RE/MAX is a worldwide organization of over 6,480 offices and over 93,000 sales executives in 97 countries.

But RE/MAX isn’t just about quantity – it’s about quality. More top-producing agents join RE/MAX every year than any other real estate organization. That means a lot of experience working for you.

Charity work is important to the RE/MAX community. They have been the exclusive real estate sponsor of the Children’s Miracle Network since 1992. RE/MAX is a major co-sponsor of the Breast Cancer Survivor Recognition Program at the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Race For The Cure events. Fund-raising golf tournaments for charities are hosted and sponsored by both the RE/MAX co-founders and RE/MAX offices. RE/MAX International was the first major sponsor of The Wildlife Experience, a conservation and community center promoting understanding of the natural world and its conservation through art and education.

In 1986, the first RE/MAX office in the Twin Cities was opened: the RE/MAX Results Eden Prairie location. In 2015, RE/MAX Results has grown to 800 sales executives in 31 office locations.

According to the National Association of REALTORS, over the past several years RE/MAX Results has consistently held one of the top three national positions in Sales Executive productivity.
